A 2023 study by the U.S. News & World Report found that Indiana ranks 41st in the United States in air quality and 38th in drinking water quality. As a biologist, Cinde understands the potential of clean, renewable energy. She supports reinvesting in energy sources like solar and wind power.
Since January 2025, regulations have been lifted on fossil fuels and legal protections like the Endangered Species Act have been gutted. The current administration has cut funding and staff for federal agencies that protect our environment and combat climate change, abandoning decades of hard-earned progress in these areas. However, Republicans in Congress have made it clear they have no intention of challenging those cuts. Cinde will fight to restore federal protections and funding for the agencies and experts working to protect our planet.
Hoosiers have made it clear: They do not want their rural lands ripped up to make room for data centers that will drain our aquifers, pollute our waterways and increase air pollution through massive energy needs from coal-fired power plants.
Cinde has been on the front lines since the beginning of Indiana’s fight against data centers. She will continue saying “no” to data centers and the AI corporations that will deplete our resources and destroy our planet.
