Contribution Rules & Info
You must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to donate to a federal campaign.
Contributions from corporations, federal contractors, and foreign nationals are not allowed.
Federal law limits: For the 2025–2026 cycle, one person can give up to $3,500 per election to a federal candidate (so $3,500 for the primary and another $3,500 for the general, totaling $7,000)
Contributions must be made from your own funds, not given to you by someone else for the purpose of donating.
Anonymous cash donations over $50 are not allowed and must be handled under FEC rules.
All contributions are reported publicly to the Federal Election Commission as required by law.
